Having trained in the fine arts at Reading University were I worked mainly as a mixed media artist, before taking an interest in film and moving images. This led me to specialise in animation at the University of Creative Arts in Farnham. Following a few years of working freelance on various animation projects including my own, I started to reflect back on my early training in fine art, were I was working more with texture and different mediums. I was especially keen to get back to a more hands on approach with making art, this led me to start printmaking using traditional methods. Printing on paper naturally led me to look at other materials to print on, including ceramics, wood and cloth. I now work mainly within textiles often using printing techniques, as well as dying, painting and manipulating fabrics.
